The most crucial thing in photography is learning and finding the light. I always strive to make each of my pictures beautiful, memorable and also gorgeous in beautiful lighting. I photographed a wedding last night and did not like how the cake was setting right next to a white wall. As you can see, the wedding cake picture to your left was put by a wall, all the way to the corner. You can see it’s right next to a light switch. I took a picture and think to myself, it looks boring. It doesn’t look pretty. I looked at my surrounding and notice the beautiful pink light to the right side of me. I moved to the left of the cake and turned my camera towards the pink fushia light to use as a background. Below is a very simple example to make a cake in a dull, boring background to something amazing and colorful.
